Jeanty so far this year has given his team and the fans some necessary outlook into what kind of player he can be. It seems with a disgruntled offensive line, these changes have made it more difficult for him to feel more comfortable. This week against Denver, Jeanty was more elusive and agile it seemed as in my estimation, he was trying to shift and cut in the right way. I saw improvement in how he was trying to find the open hole. One of the biggest plays in the first half was when he burst down field for thirty or more yards and it got brought back for a holding penalty. That play diffused the energy that the Raiders had built on that drive and it really could be seen on the face of Jeanty. He was distraught and demoralized because he hasn't had many long runs this season and he knew what it likely meant for their confidence. Jeanty finished the game with 19 carries and 60 yards. His style of running is being encumbered by inadequate blocking because he's used to bigger holes. It may take a more credible line construction before he can hit some longer runs. He needs to hit a 100-yard game before fans start to get fully excited. He did miss a dart thrown to him by Geno Smith in the second half that got redirected and intercepted. Jeanty's visible frustration is something to keep an eye on because a rookie like him is sold on wins, no matter his ranking in the locker room. He really seems sworn by the game result by his demeanor, which may need to be observed for his own favor.
