Getting a Back on Track (Vol. 11)

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty had another pedestrian game, this time against the Los Angeles Chargers (LAC). He couldn't help establish the running game and a lot of it was against an overmatched offensive line. The offensive line right now needs a lot of retooling and reconfiguration. Jeanty had a measly 31 yards rushing and 30 yards receiving. He did get a lot of touches and those would lead you to believe that he is starting to get the hang of his assignments. However, he is still exhibiting the need of more conceptual mastery before he feels comfortable running behind his offensive line with total confidence. Thankfully, he runs with leverage and does sneak free ever so often. If he can use better vision with increased power, he may be able to improve every year. There is just not a good sample size with such a weak offensive line.
